Meet the Team

RTMinds was set up in 2007, in response to Beano's experiences with suicde.
Both personal and through friends lost to suicide.
Delivery staff, management, trustees and volunteers all have a deep understanding of mental health struggles. Usually on a personal level.

Beano - Director & Founder

Beano is the co-founder and director of RTMinds. His lived experience of suicidal ideation inspired him to establish RTMinds in 2007.

Developing a unique, creative approach to mental health support, Beano is deeply committed to providing a non-clinical,

compassionate space where individuals experiencing crisis can find connection, purpose, and hope.

His leadership has driven the charity’s development, expanding its reach and impact over the past 18 years.

Simon - Administrator

Simon is the glue that holds it all together. He has many roles apart from admin. He welcomes people to the Open Art Surgery, makes cups of tea, makes sure the bird feeder is topped up but most of all he spreads joy with his positive attitude and more or less permanent smile.

Emma - Co-Founder & Manager

Emma is the co-founder at RTMinds. Since founding the charity in 2007 alongside Beano, she has played a crucial role in its growth, strategic development, and operational management.

Her approach is rooted in a deep, lived understanding of the mind-body connection, and she brings a blend of presence, insight, and creative expression to the healing process. It's not about fixing anyone, it's about creating space for transformation, one step at a time.
